That's why what is arguably Austen's most accomplished novel is the hardest to adapt appealingly for the screen. However the author does do imagery really well and the world building was something else here, however the characters decision making skills left much to be desired.

I feel like that format really helps to flesh out a story, especially one where the leads exist on different sides and there's a need to understand two different views to really grasp things.I am not a critic or a professional of any kind but I could nit pick for hours but that is only because this story feels like it could of been great rather than just good. One thing I didn't like at all was the fact that Nadir is married and has a lot of concubines, he also claims to love his first wife at the beginning. They hit the points that make a reader interested but don't go deeper and explore these points to keep the reader or at least me interested.

I thought the author really succeeded in creating a well-formed world while avoiding the dreaded info dumping. I was amazed with how much details Emma Hamm kept from the readers, some passages were a complete surprise and it felt good !
