Another small improvement is the design of the coupler which holds the PTFE tube - the Ender 3 V2 Neo uses a new design that no longer relies on small metal teeth to hold the tube, making it less prone to failing over time. We also found that it holds the tube very firmly as long as the blue clip is present, which will help prevent jamming due to a gap forming between the PTFE and the top of the nozzle. They look identical at first glance. But when you look closely, you’ll immediately see the effects of layer height on the two prints. On the left halloween pumpkin, the layers are almost visible while the right one has a smoother texture to it. An important thing to realize about the Ender-3 V2 is that it comes as a kit. Creality doesn't sell a pre-assembled version. During setup, you bolt together or otherwise connect the parts mentioned above. Building the V2 is more involved than constructing the Original Prusa Mini—for which you bolt the Y-axis assembly to the base, attach the LCD screen and spool holder, and connect some cables, and then you're good to go. Assembling the V2 was akin to the build process for the AnyCubic Vyper, taking several hours for the basic construction and a few more in troubleshooting. Manually leveling your bed is tedious. Thanks to the good adhesion of the PC-coated print bed, the adjustment of the print bed temperature is not quite as critical for the Ender 3 V2 Neo. The above values should provide sufficient adhesion for the respective filaments. Silent Stepper Drivers - Older 3D printers such as the Creality CR-10 produce a song-like sound when printing due to the frequencies of the motors moving. Newer electronics prevent this issue, making the printer substantially quieter. The only sound you will hear are the fans, which is much easier to ignore. The biggest addition in the Neo series is automatic bed leveling as a standard feature. Creality has now made their CR-Touch automatic bed leveling system the new standard among low-end 3D printers by installing it on both the Ender 3 Neo and Ender 3 V2 Neo. The CR-Touch probe automatically probes 16 different points on the bed to identify potential unevenness on the platform and uses that information to automatically adjust the bed during the printing process.Within the slicer, you can also tweak the settings for infill settings, dual color printing, nozzle movement, slicer preview, and others. So, we printed the halloween mini-pumpkin on the left at 0.1 mm, and the one on the right at 0.2 mm. This is what they looked like.

Turning it lets you cycle through the panel's four main functions—Print, Prepare, Control, and Info—and pressing it takes you to a submenu, from which you can enter a command. There are a few other minor differences between the Ender 3 Neo and Ender 3 V2 Neo, which are not dealmakers or dealbreakers in themselves. Still, they are some nice-to-haves for the more premium model. These include an integrated toolbox and belt tensioners, which add to the improved usability and polish of the Ender 3 V2 Neo. Depending on which PETG filament you are using, it may be necessary to set the cooling to 100% or reduce it slightly. Pay attention to the stringing behavior and how overhangs are printed to adjust the cooling. The print quality would have been smoother without these issues most likely, and when it had an uninterrupted run, the print quality was high.
